Yes! No matter where you are in the world, you can lend to an entrepreneur. As long as your country does not impose any restrictions, and Paypal accepts your card details then you can be an active UYDO lender.

Yes! If you're a UK taxpayer and are making a personal donation to a page or to UYDO Operations, then you can choose to allow us to claim an extra 28% on top of your donation! Tick the Gift Aid boxes when you checkout and we will be able to apply to the Government to top up your donation by a third!

You can make a recurring donation to UYDO Operations or to a UYDO member or team by choosing the Recurring Donation option when you checkout your donation.

Only registered users can invest funds as loans. You can either sign up as a UYDO member or donate to an existing user so they can invest the funds on your behalf.

Yes. UYDO uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) which encrypts your data. UYDO also uses PayPal as a service provider where PayPal handles your card information and makes the transaction. UYDO does not obtain or store your credit card information.

When you donate to someone’s page you make a donation to UYDO. The funds are then allocated to the owner’s page so they can invest your donation as a loan to a young entrepreneur listed on the UYDO website. As the entrepreneur repays the loan, the page owner gets the funds credited back to their page so they can reinvest the funds in another entrepreneur.  The funds cannot be withdrawn at any point and if the user is inactive, UYDO will automatically invest the funds on the user’s behalf.

The UYDO Global Fund is a specific fund, managed by UYDO, which is used to complete loans to entrepreneurs that have not been completely invested in within a timely manner (between 1 to 3 months). As the fund grows, UYDO can use the money to invest in young entrepreneurs on the behalf of the donors. Money within the fund is primarily being raised through Gift Aid, corporate donations, grants, and large individual donations.

Tipping is a request we make on each donation to help us keep UYDO going. We want 100% of the money you donate to be lent to the young entrepreneurs we support, but we also need funds to enable us to keeping running our programmes. Before you checkout your donation, you can choose to give an additional percentage to help our operations. The tip you give will be used for needs including currency exchange fees, programme management activities, and advocacy.
